Plot summary
Martin and Tomaz, two friends nearing adulthood, spend a winter weekend together in a small town on the coast of southern Brazil. Martin's father has sent him there to collect documents held by relatives of his grandfather, who died recently and was estranged from the family. Tomaz travels with him, and the two of them want to reconnect their old friendship. Over the weekend the two young men consider what they understand about themselves and about one another. They take shelter in a glass house that looks out on a lonely beach, a cold sea and winter storms.
