Plot summary
Jonah and Branca spent part of their childhood together, and years later Carnival in São Paulo brings them face to face again. Differences in their social positions had always stood between them. When the festival day comes, Jonah commits a crime, and to keep himself and Branca beyond the reach of his boss he takes her with him and hides them both in the whale, the main float of that year's Carnival. Inside it, the two of them reconnect.
