Plot summary
Sam is a freshman on the college baseball team, and the upperclassmen, among them his friend Jack, put the new players through a hazing. Sam needs a scholarship to stay in school, so Jack gives a blood sample in his place to keep the team from learning that Sam is diabetic. Jack promises Coach Ramsey that there will be no hazing, but the upperclassmen take the freshmen and some young women to a haunted cornfield to carry the ritual on. There, when a diabetic attack looks like Sam picking a fight, the players tie him to the scarecrow standing in the field and leave him.
