Plot summary
In the spring of 1794, unrest grips Poland. Tadeusz 'Kos' Kościuszko, a general who served in the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War, comes home intending to unite the Polish gentry and the peasants in a rising against the Russians. Domingo, a former slave and his loyal friend, travels beside him. A Russian cavalry captain, Dunin, hunts the general and means to seize him before any national revolt begins.
