Plot summary
At home, Sanjay watches his favorite superhero program, Super Team, and draws its characters in a notebook. His father meditates at a shrine in the same room, and the sounds each of them makes disturb the other. The father switches off the television, takes the boy's Super Team action figure and tells him to take part in the prayer. Sanjay waits until his father is occupied, then reaches for the toy, and its cape catches fire on the shrine's oil lamp. Putting out the cape puts out the lamp as well, and the room gives way to a temple where three stone statues stand. A demon king, Ravana, arrives and begins taking the weapons from the statues.

Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- The short drew on writer-director Sanjay Patel's own childhood in San Bernardino in the 1980s: he grew up in a family of Indian immigrants, played with Transformers figures, watched Looney Tunes cartoons and read Superman comics, and prayed and meditated daily with his father. He has said he wanted his name to be Travis, not Sanjay.
- The film's setting was inspired by the Lido Motel, an old Route 66 motel that Sanjay Patel's parents bought and worked at when he was a child.
- Sanjay Patel started the film with only the god Vishnu, a "mirror of my father" set against three superheroes; after the development team suggested adding more gods, he chose Durga to showcase a goddess and Hanuman for a half-animal deity.
