Wayne Federman
Biography
Wayne Federman is an American comedian, actor, writer, and producer who began performing stand-up in New York clubs after studying at NYU with Stella Adler. Born in Los Angeles and raised in Maryland and Florida, he moved to Los Angeles in 1987 and worked at The Improv and other clubs. His early screen work included the films Dill Scallion (1999) and 50 First Dates (2004), and he became known for brief supporting turns in comedies such as Step Brothers (2008) and Funny People (2009). On television he appeared in The Larry Sanders Show, The X-Files, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Silicon Valley, and he was head monologue writer for the first season of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. His producing work on the HBO documentary George Carlin's American Dream earned him a Primetime Emmy Award in 2022, and he has written for several awards shows.
