Simone Kirby

Simone Kirby is an Irish actress, born on 28 October 1976. She is known for playing Oonagh in Ken Loach's Jimmy's Hall (2014). Her film roles include Marilyn Hull in Notes on Blindness (2016) and a part in Season of the Witch (2011). On television she has appeared as Irene O'Donnell in Peaky Blinders (2014), Tracey Moynihan in Love/Hate (2014), and Geraldine Grehan in Pure Mule, an RTÉ series. In 2011 she helped write and appeared in Meet Your Neighbours, an RTÉ comedy sketch program, with P.J. Gallagher. Her stage credits include The Old Vic's Dancing at Lughnasa, Macbeth at Shakespeare's Globe, and Molly Sweeney in New York for the Irish Rep and in Leicester for Curve.
