Randy Austin

Randy Austin is an actor who came to the craft from martial arts, having grown up in Baton Rouge and later in the nearby town of Port Allen. He became interested in acting through his study of White Crane Gung Fu, which involved performing demonstrations for live audiences, and he went on to take acting classes and audition for theater roles around Baton Rouge. Stage work drew him toward character driven parts and helped him develop his improv skills, and after he found representation he began auditioning for films. His screen work includes the Tony Scott film Deja Vu and Ramin Bahrani's 99 Homes, and he has appeared alongside Burt Reynolds, Andre Braugher, Billy Bob Thornton, Tommy Lee Jones, Mark Wahlberg, Ryan Reynolds and Michael Rooker. He has also kept up his training in and teaching of martial arts, among them Ryu Hen Do, Nihon Goshin Aikido, MMA and Krav Maga.
