Paul Livingston
Biography
Paul Livingston is an Australian comedian who performs as his alter ego Flacco, a character he created in 1985 when a dare put him on a stage and the crowd took his jitters for a comic persona. Flacco, an apparently well informed alien fond of garbled quotes from films and theater, reached television in 1988 and came to prominence on The Big Gig, then appeared in the sitcom DAAS Kapital and on Good News Week, where he was paired with Steve Abbott's Sandman. Livingston's other small screen work includes The Money or the Gun and The Sideshow, and he spent 1994 to 1997 on Triple J Breakfast. He acted on stage and in film, notably in Vincent Ward's The Navigator: A Medieval Odyssey (1988), wrote the play Emma's Nose, toured Australia and abroad, and shared the 1996 Sidney Myer Performing Arts Award. In 2014 he joined the reformed Doug Anthony All Stars as guitarist.
