Plot summary
After Babe wins the sheepherding contest, Farmer Arthur Hoggett turns down offers to profit from the pig's talent. When Hoggett is hurt repairing the farm pump, his wife Esme runs the farm alone. The bank threatens eviction if the mortgage is not paid. An offer from a state fair, where Babe can demonstrate sheep herding, could raise the money, so Esme flies with him to the city of Metropolis. At the airport, a detection dog falsely signals that they carry drugs, and they miss their connecting flight. No hotel accepts animals except the Flealands Hotel, run by Miss Floom, who shelters strays. There Babe meets chimpanzees Bob, pregnant Zootie and Easy, and Thelonius, an orangutan who serves Miss Floom's uncle, Fugly. Babe is drawn into their clown act.
