Nike Arrighi
Biography
Niké Arrighi was a French actress and visual artist whose screen work centered on European horror and art house cinema in the 1960s and 1970s, alongside television appearances. Born in Nice, she grew up in Sydney, Australia. She started as a fashion model in Paris before settling in London and studying acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. In 1967 she played Corinne in an episode of The Champions and a gypsy girl in The Prisoner. After roughly a decade of film and television roles, she stepped away from acting in the early 1970s and returned to art, which she had first studied as a young woman. She specialized in copperplate etching and oil painting, and in 1976 she was awarded first place in graphic art at the Hong Kong Art Biennial. She died in 2025.
