Nicholas Downs
Biography
Nicholas Downs is an actor who grew up in Bondurant, Iowa. In high school, he found acting as a way to create his own voice, and an English teacher helped guide him toward the fine arts. After director Arthur Allan Seidelman cast him in his first feature film, Downs went to Los Angeles, found an agent and a manager, and built a foundation of work through independent films, commercials, and television guest spots. He took more prominent roles in major motion pictures, among them Constantine (2005), Pearl Harbor (2001), The Girl Next Door (2004), and The Holiday (2006). Using his acting experience, Downs began producing his own projects, partnering with Illumination Pictures on Anderson's Cross (2010), its first joint venture, and he was at work on the company's next project, Prep School (2011).
