Missy Crider

Missy Crider is an actress from Columbia, South Carolina, who started out singing and playing violin in musical stage shows and was named Young Entertainer of the Year in 1986. She started working in Hollywood at twelve, moving permanently to Los Angeles in 1992 after television films and miniseries that earned her Screen Actors Guild membership, among them Lonesome Dove. Her early screen roles included NBC's The Ernest Green Story, the Hallmark Hall of Fame production Jane's House, and Showtime's Girls in Prison (1994), in which she played an aspiring singer and sang vocal tracks. She received an Emmy nomination for the CBS Schoolbreak Special Love in the Dark Ages, then appeared in Powder (1995), Murder One, The Beast, Quicksilver Highway (1997), and The Sex Monster. Later credits include The Others, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Jeremiah, Frailty (2002), Instinct to Kill (2001), Mulholland Dr., Gigli (2003), Until the Night, and 24.
