Matthew Harrison
Biography
Matthew Harrison is an actor, audition coach, on-set coach, and teacher. Born in Montreal, he studied at the Neighborhood Playhouse Theater School in New York from 1991 to 1995. The National Theater of the Performing Arts hired him after that training and sent him on two tours of the United States, and regional theater work led to a Seattle production of Hamlet at the Washington Shakespeare Festival. He has acted widely on North American stages. His screen credits include Thir13en Ghosts (2001), Romeo Must Die (2000), Downloading Nancy (2008), and Destination: Infestation (2007), plus Judicial Indiscretion opposite Anne Archer. He brought comic and improv strengths to a Neanderthal role in Night at the Museum (2006) and returned for the follow-up, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009). Television guest spots include Smallville, Supernatural, Reaper, and Stargate. He developed a technique and philosophy that became the Actor's Foundry and has directed theater in Vancouver, Los Angeles, and New York.
