Lauren German

Biography

Lauren German is an American actress from Huntington Beach, California, whose earliest performances came on stage in Peter Pan and Oliver. Her first feature role came in the romantic comedy Down to You (2000), as a young woman unlucky in love, and she went on to play Belinda opposite Shane West and Mandy Moore in A Walk to Remember (2002). In 2003 she won the part of the hitchhiker in the horror remake The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) after the lead went to Jessica Biel. Later films include Standing Still (2005), Hostel: Part II (2007) and The Divide (2011). On television she played DHS agent Lori Weston in Hawaii Five-0, paramedic Leslie Shay in Chicago Fire from 2012 to 2014, and detective Chloe Decker across six seasons of Lucifer from 2016 to 2021. Before acting she trained in dance at a performing arts school and later studied at the Actors Studio in New York.
