Kim Greist
Biography
Kim Greist, born in Stamford, Connecticut, is a retired American actress and model who trained for the stage and spent part of her late teens modeling professionally in Europe. She returned to the United States at 20 and began acting in the off-Broadway comedy Second Prize: Two Months in Leningrad in 1983, later appearing in the New York Shakespeare Festival. Her first film was the horror movie C.H.U.D. (1984); she followed it with a guest role on Miami Vice and a starring turn in Terry Gilliam's Brazil (1985) alongside Robert De Niro, Jonathan Pryce and Ian Holm. Other 1980s films included Michael Mann's Manhunter (1986), Throw Momma from the Train (1987) and Punchline (1988). In the 1990s she appeared in Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey (1993), Roswell (1994) and Houseguest (1995), playing Emily Young opposite Sinbad and Phil Hartman. Her final role came in a 2001 episode of Judging Amy.
