Juliet Rylance

Juliet Rylance is an English actress known for her work in The Knick, McMafia and Perry Mason. Born in London, she studied drama at London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and her first major part after leaving was Medea in Bash Latter-Day Plays by Neil LaBute, staged at the Union Theatre in London. At Shakespeare's Globe she played Cressida in Troilus and Cressida and Perdita in The Winter's Tale, and she later took the role of Mary Sidney in I Am Shakespeare at the Chichester Festival Theatre. With David Sturzaker and the director Tamara Harvey she co-founded the production company Theater of Memory. She played Desdemona in Othello in New York, which brought her a Lucille Lortel Award nomination, and in the Sam Mendes-directed Bridge Project she won a 2010 Obie Award as Rosalind. Her film work includes Sinister (2012) and Days and Nights (2014), which she also produced.
