Joyce Meadows

Joyce Meadows is a Canadian-American actress whose work has centered on film and television. She was born in Arrowwood, Alberta, and came to the United States with her family, living first in Montana and later in California. While in high school she worked as a singer and won the Miss Sacramento pageant, after which she settled in Hollywood. She trained with Jeff Corey and received a scholarship to the Pasadena Playhouse. Meadows made her screen debut in Flesh and the Spur (1956). In 1960 she played Stacy on the syndicated western series Two Faces West, and later guest starred on many shows, including Perry Mason, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Wagon Train, and Maverick. Among her film credits are The Brain from Planet Arous (1957), The Girl in Lovers Lane (1960), Frontier Gun, Walk Tall, and Zebra in the Kitchen. After retiring from acting in 1995, she returned for the short film A Golightly Gathering in 2009.
