After a brief time at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer ended in 1932, she freelanced in featured roles, most notably as W. C. Fields's daughter in You're Telling Me! (1934). She sang on the CBS radio program Flying Red Horse Tavern in 1936, and later appeared in the East Side Kids films Mr. Muggs Steps Out (1943) and Follow the Leader (1944) before retiring.
