Biography

Hedy Burress is an American actress, born October 3, 1973, in Edwardsville. After studying at Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois, she moved to Los Angeles in 1995. Her first film role was Maddy in Foxfire (1996), where she appeared alongside Angelina Jolie and Peter Facinelli. For Valentine (2001), she auditioned for Dorothy Wheeler, a part that went to Jessica Capshaw, but director Jamie Blanks insisted she still star in the movie. On television she joined the cast of the NBC comedy Boston Common, made guest appearances on many shows, and later took a recurring part in the last season of the medical drama E.R., followed by a recurring role on the police series Southland. Burress is also recognized among video game players as the English voice of Yuna in Final Fantasy X and its sequel, returning for Kingdom Hearts II and Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy. Around Los Angeles she has performed in plays and musicals.
