Biography

Harry Fleer was an American actor with credits in over sixty movies and television programs between 1955 and 1994. He grew up in Quincy, Illinois, and left in 1934 for Northwestern University, where a College Night performance at a Chicago night club drew a radio producer's attention and led to a program of his own three days a week. He entered the Gateway to Hollywood radio competition and won twice, then trained at the Max Reinhardt school and worked in summer stock across the eastern states. On Broadway he sang in the chorus of The Trojan Women in 1941 and played Lionel in Toplitzky of Notre Dame in 1947. Between 1957 and 1960 he appeared six times on the anthology series Death Valley Days, as figures such as Jefferson Davis and Wyatt Earp. He died in 1994.
