Fabio

Fabio, born in Milan on March 15, 1959, is an Italian-American model, actor, and pitchman whose career began when a photographer approached him at a gym at fourteen. He signed his first modeling contract in Italy, moved to the United States at nineteen, and quickly landed a deal with the Ford modeling agency. He became famous for gracing hundreds of romance novel covers from the late 1980s through the 1990s. His film work includes The Exorcist III (1990) and Scenes from a Mall (1991), and he often appeared as himself in comedies like Spy Hard (1996), Dude, Where's My Car? (2000), and Zoolander (2001). On television, he starred as Claudio in Acapulco H.E.A.T. from 1993 to 1994 and hosted Mr. Romance. He has been a spokesman for I Can't Believe It's Not Butter! since 1994, wrote a fitness book and a workout video called Fabio Fitness, published several romance novels, and released the spoken-word album Fabio After Dark.
