Dina Korzun

Dina Korzun is a Russian actress who trained in ballet and modern dance before studying at the Moscow Art Theatre School. She acted at the Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre from 1996 to 2000, playing Katerina in Storm, She in I Can't Imagine Tomorrow, and Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Her first screen part came in 1998, as Yaya, a deaf and mentally ill young woman, in Valery Todorovsky's Country of the Deaf. She played Tanya in Pawel Pawlikowski's Last Resort (2000), a performance that won her the Best Actress award for Best Newcomer on screen at the British Independent Film Awards plus festival honors in London, Bratislava, Gijón and Thessaloniki. She was an Independent Spirit Award nominee for Best Female Lead for Forty Shades of Blue (2005) and for Best Supporting Female for Cold Souls (2009). In 2013 the BBC included her in its list of 100 women.
