Biography
David Paul was an American actor and bodybuilder who became known as one of the Barbarian Brothers. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, and raised in Rhode Island, he and his twin brother Peter opened a gym there before they moved to California in 1979 to pursue show business. The brothers found early screen work as muscular cab drivers in D.C. Cab (1983), then appeared in The Barbarians (1987). They completed a two-picture deal for Motion Picture Corporation of America with Think Big (1989) and Double Trouble (1992), and their last Barbarians film was Twin Sitters (1994). Their careers also included television appearances on Knight Rider and Hollywood Beat, a Razzie nomination for Worst New Star, live strength exhibitions, and music, with Twin Sitters featuring three songs by the brothers. David Paul died in 2020.
