Early training
Conrad accepted a part in Snow White in the Black Forest, a film starring Sigourney Weaver, and quit Juilliard in 1995 before his last year ended. Showtime released it in 1997 as Snow White: A Tale of Terror.
Big break
In 1996, Conrad won the part of Leo Roth on the television series Relativity, but he had already agreed to appear in a Pittsburgh staging of Tom Stoppard's play Arcadia. The producers thought Conrad suited the role, so they scheduled the series around his play.
Early training
Conrad was at Juilliard when he took part in a stage version of John Irving's novel The Cider House Rules. Peter Parnell wrote it, and the actor Tom Hulce was one of its co-directors.
