Darleen Carr

Darleen Carr is a retired American actress, singer, and voice-over artist who appeared on television from the mid-1960s, playing Kathy on The John Forsythe Show in 1965 and 1966. Born in Chicago and later raised in the San Fernando Valley, she went on to regular roles in Dean Martin Presents the Gold Diggers and The Smith Family, and headlined the short-lived sitcom Miss Winslow & Son as Susan Winslow in 1979. Her film debut came in Monkeys, Go Home! (1967), followed by Death of a Gunfighter (1969), The Beguiled (1971), The Horror at 37,000 Feet (1973), Piranha (1995), and Eight Days a Week (1997). She sang in Disney's The Jungle Book (1967) as The Girl and dubbed singing for Kurt in The Sound of Music. On stage she played Abigail Adams in 1776 and Melissa Gardner in Love Letters. She was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Golden Globe for the miniseries Once an Eagle.
