Danneel Ackles
Biography
Danneel Ackles is an American actress who started out as a model, working with brands including Big Sexy Hair and Juicy Jeans, before she turned to acting. She was born in Lafayette and grew up in Eunice, Louisiana. Her first role came in 2003, playing Shannon McBain on the soap One Life to Live, a part she gave up in December 2004, and she later appeared in JAG, Charmed, NCIS and Joey. In 2005 she took the role of Rachel Gatina on One Tree Hill, returning to it in later seasons. Her films include the female lead in Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay (2008) and A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas (2011), plus Fired Up! (2009), The Back-up Plan (2010) and The Roommate (2011). She also appeared on Retired at 35 and Supernatural and in the television film The Christmas Contract (2018), and helped form Chaos Machine Productions, which holds a deal at Warner Bros. Television.
