Christine Estabrook
Biography
Christine Estabrook is an American actress. She trained at the Yale Drama School and began in the theater, where she originated the daughter's role in Kevin O'Morrison's Ladyhouse Blues at the O'Neill National Playwrights Conference before the play moved off-Broadway. On Broadway she appeared in The Inspector General and The Cherry Orchard, and her off-Broadway work in Deborah Eisenberg's Pastorale at the Second Stage Theater brought her an Obie Award. She also took over the part of Feni in Wendy Wasserstein's The Sisters Rosensweig on Broadway. In 2006 she was back on Broadway in the musical Spring Awakening, playing every adult female part. From the 1990s onward her work has been largely in television and film, with movies including Second Sight (1989), Sea of Love (1989), and Presumed Innocent (1990). She had a recurring role as Martha Huber on Desperate Housewives and later played Gail Holloway on Mad Men. She has also received a Drama Desk Award.
