Charlotte Henry
Biography
Charlotte Henry was an American actress who began modeling at a young age and at 14 was cast in an important role in the Broadway production Courage in 1928. She was born in Brooklyn and moved to Hollywood, where she repeated her Courage part in the 1930 film version and studied at Lawlors, a professional school. Her early features included Huckleberry Finn in 1931 and Lena Rivers in 1932. She was best remembered for Alice in Wonderland (1933), which brought her unanimous praise, and Babes in Toyland (1934), and she also starred in the Jungle Menace serial (1937). Typed by her early roles and unable to find serious adult parts in films, she acted on stage with the Federal Theatre Project. Henry died in 1980.
