Cathryn Harrison
Biography
Cathryn Harrison was an English actress who began her film career as a teenager. She was born in London in 1959; her father was the actor and singer Noel Harrison, her grandfather the actor Rex Harrison. She made her screen debut at 13 in Robert Altman's Images (1972) and appeared the same year in The Pied Piper (1972). At 16 she played Lily in Louis Malle's experimental fantasy horror Black Moon (1975). She was Irene, the assistant stage manager, in The Dresser (1983), and played Violet Trefusis in Portrait of a Marriage (1990). Much of her later work was in British television and radio drama, including Hannay (1989), Soldier Soldier (1991) as Laura Cadman, and Love on a Branch Line (1994). She died in 2018.
