Catherine Bach
Biography
Catherine Bach is an American actress who grew up in Warren, Ohio and studied drama briefly at UCLA. She began professionally as a child performer in a stage version of The Sound of Music. Her first screen role came in The Midnight Man, followed by Melody in Thunderbolt and Lightfoot (1974). She became known as Daisy Duke on the television series The Dukes of Hazzard, starring alongside Tom Wopat, John Schneider and James Best. Her character's homemade T-shirt and cut-off shorts gave rise to the term Daisy Dukes. After the show ended, she appeared in several lower-profile films and from 1992 to 1994 starred in the Canadian family drama African Skies. Later television work included a 2006 guest role on Monk, a small cameo in the 2010 comedy You Again, and the recurring role of Anita Lawson on The Young and the Restless starting in 2012. In 2002 she launched a diamond jewelry line at Debenhams.
