Brian Haley

Brian Haley is an American actor and comedian whose stand-up blends all-American looks with manic outbursts. Born in Seattle, he began acting as a child in community and school theater there, and after serving in the Army from 1980 to 1985 he started doing stand-up comedy in Seattle, moving to Los Angeles in 1988 and winning a Hollywood's Hottest New Comic competition. A 1990 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson brought a run of television and film work and an HBO comedy special. He is known for playing Veeko in Baby's Day Out (1994), the football father Mike Hammersmith in Little Giants, and Mitch Kowalski in Gran Torino (2008), and for the role of Budd Bronski on Wings. He has also taken dramatic parts, including a detective in The Man Who Wasn't There (2001), and appeared on Broadway in the play Deuce in 2007.
