Aaron Neville
Biography
Aaron Neville is an American singer whose smooth, vibrato-heavy tenor has carried him across gospel, country, jazz, soul and pop as well as rhythm and blues. Born in New Orleans, he helped start the Neville Brothers with his siblings Art, Charles and Cyril. Over You became the first of his singles to get airplay beyond his hometown in 1960, and Tell It Like It Is was his breakthrough, later entering the Grammy Hall of Fame. His duets with Linda Ronstadt, among them Don't Know Much and All My Life, won Grammy Awards, and he has collected four in all, including one for I Fall to Pieces with Trisha Yearwood and a 2023 American roots award for Stompin' Ground with the Dirty Dozen Brass Band. He sang the national anthem in the 1996 film The Fan and at two Super Bowls, and appeared in the documentary Make It Funky!.
