Rudolph's Shiny New Year (1976) on Netflix

Plot summary

On New Year's Eve, Father Time writes to Santa Claus: Happy, the baby New Year, has run off, and if midnight passes without him, December 31 will never give way. Since a snowstorm grounds everyone else, Rudolph takes the errand. Father Time believes Happy fled to the Archipelago of Last Years, where retired years each rule an island shaped like their own time, because the household at his castle laughed at his large ears. A giant vulture called Eon the Terrible wants Happy for himself: his single eon ends on January 1, when he is fated to dissolve into ice and snow, and a year that never turns would keep him alive. General Ticker and a camel named Quart guide Rudolph to Father Time's castle, which lies beyond the Sands of Time.
