Plot summary
Ruby owns a burlesque house in Dallas, the Carousel Club, and passes information to the FBI while running errands for his mafia contacts. He meets Sheryl Ann DuJean, alone at a diner close to the bus station, offers her food and a room, and tells her the offer is not a sexual advance. She moves into the apartment above the club, and when a scheduled dancer cancels, she goes on as Candy Cane. Ruby sees that she may revive the club.
