Plot summary
Private First Class Angel Salazar enlisted in the Army hoping it would help him get into film school, and in Iraq he keeps a camcorder running, recording a documentary about his deployment that he calls Tell Me No Lies. His platoon is based at Camp Carolina near Samarra, where the soldiers man a checkpoint and search cars. A French documentary crew embedded with the unit films the same work. When a car speeds toward the checkpoint, Reno Flake fires the Humvee's machine gun and a pregnant passenger is hit. Back at camp, Salazar asks Flake how he felt, and Flake answers that he felt nothing. Lawyer McCoy is disgusted by the answer, and Jim Vazquez reminds them that Flake followed the rules of engagement.
