Plot summary
Millions of years ago a three-headed space dragon named Desghidorah came to Earth and was defeated and sealed below ground by giant moths that served the Elias, a diminutive humanoid people. In the present, Mothra spends her strength laying an egg to continue her species when a logging company in northern Japan uncovers the dragon's prison and breaks the seal. Moll and Lora, the benevolent Elias, sense that something is wrong and travel to Japan to investigate. The third Elias, the vengeful Belvera, believes humans are the enemy and takes control of a worker's young daughter, Wakaba, who was given the seal as a souvenir. Moll and Lora befriend Wakaba and her brother Taiki, and the group sets out for the site where the seal was found in hopes of stopping Belvera.
