Plot summary
When their father, a miller, dies, the eldest son comes into the mill, the middle one receives a donkey, and the youngest, Corin, gets the cat. Corin is disappointed at first, and then finds that the cat can talk and is resourceful. The cat, Puss, transforms from a cat into a bespoke gentleman and requests a pair of boots; when he puts the boots on, he changes back to and from his cat form. Puss sets out to restore his master's standing. A King, Princess Vera, an Ogre and a Prime Minister are part of the tale, which is told as a musical.
