Plot summary
A group of amateur paranormal investigators in New England has spent months hunting ghosts, and their sessions have produced no solid evidence. They have been inflating whatever they did find. Wanting a genuine paranormal encounter, they make one last-ditch attempt and start provoking and taunting spirits from the afterlife. The experiment works. What comes through follows the investigators home and will not leave, and it is angry and deadly. The spirits they brought into this world are not going back without souls, and the group has to hold its own house against them, with the family who live there inside.
