Plot summary
A gang steals an opium shipment from the S.S. Florentine while the liner is docked in New York harbor, and the ship's purser is killed in the raid. Customs agent Mickey Waters and narcotics agent Jim Flannery take the case, out to stop the stolen opium from being distributed through the harbor. The man behind the theft is Paul Vicola, a drug dealer who leads the gang. His girlfriend Toni Cardell, a passenger on the ship, has a part in the smuggling, and the killing upsets her. She wants out of the business, but Vicola will not finance a fresh start elsewhere.
