Plot summary
Riley is a college student who has put distance between herself and the home she grew up in, a place she associates with abuse and with religious hypocrisy. Karen, her mother, is at the center of that past, and the two women are estranged. An unforeseen circumstance brings them back into each other's company, and Riley has to face the source of the hurt she has carried since childhood. The story is drawn from real events and follows Riley as she begins to work through what those years held.
