Plot summary
After thirty years away, the Colombian author Fernando comes home to Medellín and moves into the apartment his sister left him, intending to live out his days there. The city he remembers is gone: drug gangs and armed teenagers rule the streets. At a party given by an old friend he meets Alexis, a handsome young man from those same streets, and the two begin a relationship. Fernando tells Alexis how peaceful Medellín was when he left, while Alexis explains the everyday business of robbery and shootings. His sour view of the world eases a little through his time with Alexis.
