Plot summary
In 1918 a German commander pilots the U-boat U-103, which sights the Olympic and fires a torpedo. The torpedo misses, and the Olympic rams the submarine as it dives. Decades later, in World War II, Germany launches Operation Seawolf: U-boats carrying special missiles are sent against the American sea lanes. Their first run hits shipping, and American warships are sent against them, taking down some of the submarines. Captain Hans Kessler, a submarine commander from both world wars, is called into service.
