Plot summary
Jonathan Breech is 19 when his father dies from drinking. One night he takes cocaine, spends time with another man's girlfriend and drives an already stolen convertible. At dawn he collects his father's ashes from his older brother Mikey, then drives off intending to die. He wakes in a hospital, where he is told to choose between prison for the stolen car and a Dublin psychiatric institution. He chooses the institution.
