Plot summary
Stephen plays on his college tennis team, and his feelings for Shelly, another player on the squad, keep him from concentrating on his game, so he is dropped from it. His friends Andy and Jackie come to him with an idea: with their coaching, he can present himself as Stephanie, a transfer student, and so spend time near the girl he admires. Dressed as Stephanie, he makes it past the women's locker room and wins a place on the women's team. Shelly then asks Stephen to share her room, hoping to keep her pushy boyfriend from moving in, and he agrees. For a while he keeps up both identities, sitting in classes as himself and as Stephanie.
