Plot summary
Jay Bartlett, a gaming enthusiast, accepts a challenge from his friend Rob McCallum: round up every one of the 678 games licensed for the Nintendo Entertainment System in North America, and do it inside 30 days. Online retailers are off limits, so Jay, Rob and a film crew travel south through the United States, searching second-hand stores and basements, some of them holding cartridges in mint condition. The people they meet along the way share their enthusiasm, and some are glad to help while others get in the way. The trip also works as a history of Nintendo, touching on notable games, box art, music, graphics and gameplay, and on why the company's software matters to both men.
