Plot summary
Maggie Doyne, 23, lives with 30 children in a home she built in Surkhet, Nepal at 19, and asks town officials to deal with sewage that reaches her doorstep. A mother and daughter filmed her and ten others over 99 days on six continents. Dr. David Mar Naw pulls bad teeth in a mountain village in northern Thailand where refugees seek treatment. Yulia Simonova, paraplegic since a gymnastics accident at ten, drives her modified car across Moscow to speak with schoolchildren. Paul Moulds breaks up a fight at Oasis, a Sydney network for homeless youth, and takes food to kids in tough neighborhoods. In Buenos Aires, Maria Eugenia Cuyas teaches tango therapy. Detroit ex-auto workers Marian Kramer and Maureen Taylor join a demonstration in Lansing against water privatization, and Gina Low finds a village rainwater tank clogged and unused.
