Plot summary
Philippe Mars is a computer engineer who sees himself as a prudent, level-headed man and a dependable employee, a father and a brother. He would like to please everyone around him. His orderly life comes apart. His son Grégoire has turned vegetarian, his daughter Sarah is set on a big career, and his sister exhibits canvases of their naked parents and sells them for large sums. At the office he faces Jérôme, a colleague whose behavior is unstable and who rages. Jérôme moves into Philippe's apartment, and one night he arrives at the door with a young woman who has just left a clinic.
