Napping Princess (2017) on Netflix

Plot summary

Final exams loom and Kokone Morikawa cannot stay awake: she drops into Heartland, a realm whose people build cars for a king whose castle is a factory. There a girl named Ancien uses a magic tablet to wake machines, among them Joy, a blue toy dog, and Heart, a motorcycle, and she sides with a rider called Peach against the Colossus, a giant of molten metal. At home Kokone lives with her father Momotarō, a car mechanic who has told her little about her mother, and reconnects with Morio, a friend back from his first year in Tokyo. Days before the Tokyo Olympics, her father is arrested, accused of stealing secrets from Shijima Motors, and a man named Watanabe comes looking for the tablet and for Kokone.
