Plot summary
Michael Brücker was hoping for a managing director position at work, and his wife Lisa runs a small flower store. Their son Brian is the first to welcome the news that a Chinese family, the Wangs, is moving into the house next door. The morning after, the Brückers realize how much they underestimated the newcomers. The Wang children bring home better school reports than the Brücker children, Wang takes the post Michael wanted, and Li Wang teaches at a university. Lisa's store, by contrast, is small and badly run. The Brückers cannot bear so much success next door and decide to fight back.
